The first experimental Walking Football tournament concluded with the victory of Palermo Over 50, who beat Palermo Medica 3-1 in the final. The event, organized by the LND Regional Committee in collaboration with the Palermo Provincial Delegation, saw the participation of five teams: New Garden Center, W.F. Palermo Over 50, W.F. Palermo Over 70, Boomerang Woman Football Palermo and Palermo Medica. The matches were played at the New Garden Center sports facility with the Italian formula, with matches of departure and return, concluded with the play-offs (semi-finals and finals) that captivated the attention of many football fans. The President of the Regional Committee, Sandro Morgana, highlighted the importance of this discipline accessible to all, sustainable and intergenerational capable of promoting health, aggregation, well-being and quality of life through the game of football.
